Karting
Introduction

World Champions Lewis Hamilton, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher were all successful kart racers.Karting is widely regarded as the first step on the motor racing ladder and is the starting point for many young aspiring racing drivers.

Although karts look much alike to the uninitiated, there are many classes. available to suit a wide range of needs and abilities.

Karts are divided into two basic categories: those with direct drive (which race on short circuits), and those with gearboxes (which race on both the long and short circuits)..

Specialist Contact: Association of British Kart Clubs (ABKC) - www.abkc.org.uk
