The MSA Academy co-drivers are selected based on their potential to reach an elite level in rallying. This is a bespoke programme and is supported by experts including Nicky Grist and Paul Spooner, both of whom have competed at the pinnacle of the sport in the World Rally Championship.
The programme is overseen by the MSA Academy Performance Manager and delivered by qualified MSA Coaches. The syllabus caters for the needs of the individual, so each driver’s support programme is bespoke to their individual needs and requirements.
The programme is primarily workshop-based but the bespoke approach to co-driver development ensures that more individual support is also available. The programme also calls upon industry experts.
For example the Co-Drivers have had the event experience of going to Wales Rally GB and meeting team personnel, experiencing the setup of a World Rally Team on a rally weekend as well as meeting elite Co-Drivers who have offered advice and expertise.
